I think my PJ cardinal may have had a late night snack last night eating my new neon goby. I Acclimated the goby last evening before the lights went out and today the Goby is missing. The tank was covered and the over flow was screened as well, the culprit looks like my PJ.

Lol I had a snowflake jump out today trying to pick on my new Onyx clown and it was only out for a few seconds because luckily I was right there and heard it flopping around on the floor! But either way it was looking crappy for awhile from just under a min out of the tank.

The only thing I know of close to a gobie that can breath air out of water is the mudd skipper witch is a sub family of the gobie. What kind of gobie do you have?
I assumed you'd know I meant a snowflake clown fish when I said it.

a lot of gobies can, if stranded in water low in oxygen, go to surface and gulp air

Dam that's crazy. That's one lucky A$$ fish. Especially a gobie if I didn't see my gobie for a couple days it wouldn't worry me at all because he's always hiding.. love that fish to wish it wasn't so skittish.

yeah hope he lets us know when he finds it cuz I really wouldn't think a pj cardinal would eat a gobie

The Goby was eaten because I did not put him in the tank correctly. He was in a bag all day and I dropped him in the tank with the lights off. He swam into the corner where the PJ hangs out. The next day the PJ's abdomen was huge and he didn't eat as usual. . No bodies around the tank on the floor. PJ's will eat anything that they can fit in their mouth including shrimp and small fish.
