What's the best/easiest way to mount float switches in the sump to monitor water level?
I don't have an ATO setup yet, that's a future project. But for now I want to mount a float switch in the sump to let me know what's going on there. I could mount one in my display's overflow too.........that way both areas are monitored.
Thanks

I find for the sump the best method is to use one of digital aquatics mounting brackets. They are tough, reliable and use 2 screws so that they cannot get jostled

I made my own, very easy to bend acrylic and a cheap real earth magnet keeps it in place.

I agree the mounting should have the switch so it cannot be hit or easily moved. I used the aquatronica float mounts and epoxied the bottom of the mount to the sump. the switch can still be adjusted up and down.

I bought a 3 hole probe holder, and I'm only going to have 2 probes..........so I'm thinking I'll use the extra hole to mount the float switch.

I was going to buy the fancy Neptune probe holder until I saw this guy use a suction cup toothbrush holder and it worked perfect and you can use them for hose holders to for dosing pump hoses and ato hose pretty neat and cheap.

I used Mold-A-Holders for my float switches.... You can get them at aquahub.com They are just plastic pieces that you can put in boiling water and mold them.
