I'm interested in modifying my leds. I want to be able to control them with my apex. I really don't like the functionality of my lights and if I can't get them to be controlled with the apex them I'm going to sell them so I can upgrade my lights. This thread is open to ANY led discussion as I'd like to get some info on other options as well. Upgrading my lighting is in the near future either way. I'm shying away from these type of lights. Good, bad or indifferent. Cheap Chinese leds, kessil, maxspect, aqua illumination, eco tech marine and many more! So for starters here's some pics of the driver inside the ccl (cheap Chinese leds) I just found out they DO except 0v-10v dimming! Says right on the flip side of the driver. Another pic of the entire guts. Any other pictures that are needed let me know. Sent from my SCH-R970 using proboards

Lol, doesn't help me, but that's ok, I already know how to dim them

Why'd you want me to translate it?

To see if there was any usefull info obut there wasn't, when I did mine I tested it multiple ways to figuar out how exactly it dims, I was hoping it would confirm what I found out through testing but it didn't, but I'm not to worried about it, it has been working for 2 or 3 weeks with no issues. Do you have the modual for the apex to dim LED or is that an add on?

It's an add on. One that I'm not going to buy until I know 100% I can control them with the apex. If not then the lights are close to worthless to me

From what I have seen and read on the apex dimming modual, it will dim the unit. the apex can send out a 0-10v analog signal to dim, that is how your LEDs dim. Now that is just the dimming circuit you still need to time the power to the unit to run the fans, or else the fans will run even when the lights are not on. I'm sure the apex can do this as well, and will probably only take up 1 plug as you could use a power strip for all the power lines in your lights. On my arduino controller I only have code written to dim my lights I haven't had time to mess with the outles and other items yet, so I have to lights on a normal timer to kill power to the light after the final dim cycle.
