Hey All -
This might sound pretty silly, but now that I'm home from college with my tank, it's inconvenient to buy RODI saltwater from Jason, and I know water from my well isn't probably the best to use.....
So question is, is Distilled water the same as RODI water?

Test your well water and see.....it might surprise you.
I use well water, and I don't have any issues.

Yeah I also use well water and I find my water is pretty good. Only 2 or 3 ppm before entering the Di stage. Mostly large particles as I use more sediment filters then anything.

Awesome, thanks guys! But, lets just say my well water sucks (But I don't think it does), would distilled be the best thing to use after that ?

You can read the labels on the water jugs, I forget what ones which, but one brand does ro.

most of the water you can buy is ro water but distilled should be fine. my well water before the filters is at 285ppm!! but even if your water is at 5ppm it depends what that 5ppm is in the water. you can send your water out to get tested, that will tell you what is in the water.
