Its kinda hard to see. I took the best macro shot I could with my pocket camera (wife took the good camera with her on business trip). It's probably 1/8" diameter, the orange mass does not completely fill the bubble. Just looking at it makes me think it is some kind of egg. or is this another one of those dumb questions? Lol

You just have a CUC in there, right? Yeah you can see a few in the photo. Dwarf Ceriths, Florida Ceriths, Nassarius, and Nerites. Oh and a few blue legged hermits that hitched a ride with the order.

I don't think any of those things would make an egg that big, and just being a single one is weird too. Sorry for not helping much, I just don't think it's an egg.

Yeah I didn't think it was either, but it's the only one in the tank. I guess in my previous post I should have said that it most resembles some kind of egg.

Most likely it is red bubble algea that hasn't colored up yet. As it matures it will become red. I'd remove it. In 6 month it will be everywhere.

Did you try to look it up? You can Google almost anything just write "clear bubble with orange mass in a salt water tank" Works about 95% of the time for me when trying to I.d. something. Sent from my SCH-R970 using proboards

It's red bubble algae not colored up. Look up orange bubble algae and read the first 5 things that pop up. Remember over time things change. Bubble algae is no fun once you have an outbreak. When you do a water change, put the siphon end of the hose over the bubble and crape the bubble off, it will be sucked out via siphon.
Also eggs from a CUC won't look like that. Snails will be white and all connected with white fleshy material.
