Lol it's really the best thing you can do for your tank imo besides good husbandry. Especially for sps or Lps and coraline! Lol

Sure! This testing/dosing stuff is new to me lol. And I've been in the hobby since 07 haha Just be careful with dosing in the little tanks. My total volume with sump, display, skimmer, and dual reactors is about 20gal and I'm only dosing 3ml KH and 5ml Ca daily. The tank isn't fully stocked but I have about 15 SPS frags and a large (for the tank) Stylo. I'm still playing with the KH...3ml daily is too much. With a 5 gallon you'll be adding maybe 0.5ml. Also read some articles on the relationship between the three KH, Ca, and Mg. It's not super complicated but they are all related so dosing or testing for one without the others can cause more problems.

I'm not dosing daily as of yet, more supplementing right now. I'd like to see my calcium a bit higher but I'm not super worried about it. My coral all looks good, just like to see a bit more growth.

They have a pretty way to understand video on brs about the relationship between cal, alk and mag. Very good video and as Bruce said it's something that's good to learn before you start. I can post it if you want?

Magnesium the homewrecker lol But that was definitely more understandable. I think I have a dkh test. I'll have to look. But first, a nap lol. Thanks!
