Anyone wear them while messing with your tank or corals? I never do, sometimes I wish I did. My index finger and thumb are both swollen today and itchy as hell lol

www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=15871I never used to wear gloves but between dealing with getting stung by bristle worms and having extreamly dry hands I decided to buy these atlas gloves. They are a lot thinner than the blue and orange coralife gloves and offer a lot more dexterity.

Funny that you should post about this. I almost posted on it last night. I was more wondering if I had been contaminating my water by not wearing gloves.

It's always possible to contaminate water. I have to be real carful of that. Because of my dry hands I'm constantly using location on my hands and it gets old having to wash my hands every time i need to reach into my tank. I definitely recommend these atlas nitrile gloves to anyone with skin issues or anyone worried about contaminating their tanks.

I wear the coralife orange and blue gloves when I'm working in the ray tank because it is deep. I'm more worried about contaminating the tank, especially in the summer as I always wear sunscreen. My other tanks are much shorter so it's just my hands that get wet.

YES!! Nitrile gloves are inexpensive and disposable. This is a must especially if you have zoas and palys. Palytoxin is not something to mess with and I personally know 2 people affected by it, 1 was hospitalized. It's the 2nd most deadly toxin in the world with no antidote, all they can do is treat the symptoms.

most farm supply stores (Agway, Blue Seal, Tractor Supply, Ames) have disposable gloves for vet services, both shoulder length and wrist length, and usually inexpensive. Thats were I get mine.
