have any of you ever had a clownfish try to host on one of your other fish? My true percula used to try to host on my bicolor blenny. For a while I thought it was maybe just the rock that the blenny lives in, but the clown would follow the blenny around the tank too. Eventually he got bitten by the blenny one too many times and now just hosts a depression in the sand. Just curious if that's happened to anyone else...

nope but I had a hippo tang that thought it was a clownfish it even hosted the frogspawn with the pair of clowns

I often wonder if fish know what they look like. I mean they cant see themselves and if they did see their reflection id doubt they'd know it was them rather than anther fish. so when we put them together they probably think they are same. ive seen plenty of clowns rubbing on each other

My flame Angel is paired with red pistol shrimp in my tank. The flame takes watch while the pistol digs and causes trouble, they even live in the same cave together. It's pretty funny to watch!
