Also I remember people were talking about these pick up arms for moving frags and flipping over crabs... well the other day I was at the dollar tree and I found this!.......for $1 It can safely pick up at least a couple pounds. Although I only got it to move frags or smaller things so I don't have to put my hands in the tank 10 times a day. Attachments:

I had the same idea as you a few months ago. Only problem with those is the inside spring. After a couple days of in and out it starts to rust and leaks that into the tank. I was washing it for some reason and then saw a trail of brown rust particles. I loved the idea. Just not the steel spring that rusts inside of it.

Rust won't hurt anything to my knowledge? Gfo is rust. Either way I figured the same thing. It's probably not going to last that long but I do have some aquarium safe paint maybe I'll give it a coat and see if it last a month? If it last a month, it's worth a dollar
