I messaged hydor yesterday about two pumps that I have. I have the Nano 850 gph and the 1500 gph. The 1500 gph started ruining backwards (common with older ones) and the nano is really loud. So either way I found out that both of these power heads were older versions and they now make a newer style impeller and I didn't know that.
So they are shipping me new impeller for both without even asking for anything, receipt, pictures nothing. So if you have an older version I think it's definitely time to switch the impeller before the inevitable happens.
They give you just the impeller and have you keep using the same shark fin and propeller blade.
