Hey all, I just set up my first tank! It's a 3 gallon all acrylic Deco kit. Cheap and too the point but it works! It's got an 18w compact florescent and rapid power filter that'll do 80gph.
I'm currently looking for suggestions, comments or tips that you're all willing to share on fish, corals, tank keeping etc. Christian's been my wing man (aka he's directed my every move) with this tank, and I'm mad thankful for that, but any suggestions are welcomed!

A small goby and pistol shrimp would be sweet in that size tank. You may be able to get away with a pair of clowns for quite some time if you get them small enough. Some easy soft corals would probably do fine in there as well.

I like the pistol and gobie idea as well, or a clown, cleaner, or trima goby would be a good choice. Check out www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=74703 for other choices. Also, if you want corals, I would suggest some leds like a par30 bulb such as BoostLEDs 4 color bulb. With the light you have now, you'd be able to keep zoas and mushrooms but the color and growth won't be great, plus the bulb should be changed every 6 months.
