Lunar module is a waste of time and money IMO. I actually removed it from my programming after about a month of screwing with it.

Dosing pumps on the other hand are worth every penny.

It's proven to help with spawning of clown fish (probably all fish) and some corals and that's why I wanted to get it. When I was reading about it though I was confused as to why it says the lunar cycle starts out in the mourning and works it's way through the day to night in 50 min intervals?

Yeah I definitely want dosing pumps as well. I know some people will think it's stupid but I want the new apex auto fish feeder as well. Lol

Then again my clowns are tank bred but it doesn't really matter I like things to be as natural as I can make it, I don't like everything being so dark I can't see anything without a flashlight. Sleeping fish don't really appreciate a flashlight in the face anyways.

I know pressure has allot to do with breeding and spawning, but the moonlight changes every day what happens with a new moon or a full moon. I agree with the critics at the bottom of the page tides have allot more to do with it than the actual light from the moon

I didn't delve into the commentary until now but they do raise interesting points. I personally would guess that since the rice goes with the lunar cycle that maybe they both play a role but either way it's only a select few species they're taking about. Like I said my goal is to try and make things more natural so my next question is, I wonder if I get the lunar module and vdm if I could set my pump program to coincide with the lunar cycle? Probably a good question for the Neptune forum but I really don't like going on there unless I have to

I agree with the critics at the bottom of the page tides have allot more to do with it than the actual light from the moon They are saying that poclliapora only spawn for around 4 days in the cycle so it wouldn't be in the same time frame as the new moon and only part of the full moon. Also kinda weird they're saying the lunar cycle effects the spawning but they don't actually spawn until right after sunrise? Crazy

the moon cycle controls the tides, so maybe that is what they are calling the lunar cycle?

I find it hard to believe that the moonlight has much to do with coral growth. I have no interest in breading so haven't educated myself on the subject.
