You can get Nori at the Asian market for super cheap. I make sushi and even the supermarkets are way over priced on the wraps. The packages they sell at Hannaford only have about 6-8 sheets. The asian market sells huge packages for $.99 There is a place in Portland across from Grayhound and another in Portland over by RSVP.

I go to the local Asian market for nori, they have all kinds of it in large packs, for cheap money.

i just get little snack ziplock bags and buy whatever seafood is on sale and chop it up and freeze it in half inch by quarter inch by length of bag. Its easy to break off small chunks like that. I put it in a small dedicated glass of tank water filled just nuff to cover it to thaw. when i feed i give this and different flake foods. I have a number of different types seafood frozen that way. I always switch off keeps them guessing and they dont get used to just one type food.

Just be careful with the seafood at the market. It's loaded with preservatives.

Great write up! I may have to try this. I bet that concoction must stink when you mix it up!

Jays aquarium in Salem NH makes their own fish goo and the list of ingredients is endless including oyster eggs and tons of other goodies. This is sold frozen in a LARGE zip lock bag and for the price you save a ton of money and time. Make sure you call first before you make the trek down there as they sell out of the fish goo fast as many people use it.

I doubt they even know It's virtually impossible to get fish in a supermarket that doesn't have preservatives. Yes, even the 'fresh' fish. Just smell it and you almost get high from the fumes. Fish should smell like fish not like chemicals.
