My favia has a white puffy line at its base I basted it off leaving white skeleton. It came back and is spreading the polyps not efffected seem fine but its moving pretty quick. Is this baterial should I dip it I've never dipped anything before really don't want to loose this. About 2 weeks ago one of my office mates unloaded a can of fabreze in the office I immediately did a water change the tank is running chemipure elite purigen and a polyfilter as of Friday.....

You could try dipping it but most likely its from contamination and not bacterial. Its possible that if the tissue necrosis continues that bacteria could take hold and cause a faster decline in the coral. If it were me, I would dip it anyway in something like Coral RX or Iodine and make sure it has adequate water flow around the effected area just to be safe. Poly filters, carbon and frequent water changes are about the only things short of placing the coral in a different tank that I could think to do. Any chances that it was close enough to another coral for it to have been stung? I've had Acans reach out as far as 2-3 inches to sting and kill neighboring corals before that resulted in the same sort of symptoms you described. Good luck and let us know how it does.

Picked up some seachem reef dip after dipping do I place the coral back in tank or do I rinse it in another container of tank water and then place back in tank

I've always placed my corals back in my tank after but you could take a dish of tank water to rinse it in before placing it back in your tank for extra precaution I guess.
