so over the years I have had almost every stile and shape of tanks and setups. everything from mixed reef tanks ,predator tanks, species tanks,...... at this point I have found I like corals more than fish and tanks with 90% of one type of coral, me I love my lps corals so my 180g is about 75% lps at this point and working on it being 90-95% in the next couple months along with my small 40g being sps
seems most people have mixed reefs but they are always drawn to that one type of coral that they have most of in their tank. vote for your favorite lps,sps,softie,shroom,z/p

I would have to say any type of euphyllia and acans are my favorite types of corals. All together I am definitely an LPS fan however I do have the occasional SPS throughout my 120g reef.

I can't stay away from all the various montiporas followed closely by Zoas.

Call me weird but my favorite individual corals are LPS. Acans in particular but my favorite tanks are by far SPS tanks. My new set up is going to be 90% SPS but I plan on having a few high end Acans in the mix.

I go through phases. My all time favorite coral is Pink Stylo. I like yellow toadstool at the moment. I am going to get back heavily into sps corals here soon. Going to try to set-up a sps grow-out tank.

Lps here, followed by zoas & palys. I specifically like acans, micros, chalice and lobo types.

how does one pick a favorite. I just see something and like it usually colors or shapes doesn't matter what type. overall I bet most the ones ive liked happen to fall into lps but id like to have one of each if had room.
