I just did the swap today to my 54gal corner bowfront tank. I'm using 2 - Koralia 850 pumps for flow in the tank, and I'm looking for suggestions for placement and aim for best flow in the tank.
Right now I have the return from the sump pointing down in back of my rock formation, that should prevent a deadspot there.
I have the 2 850's on each side of the overflow, aimed toward the front center of the tank. This is my placement in a hurry to get them in the tank and water moving around.
Any better ideas or recommendations?
Thanks,
Steve

In my sumpless 30 gal, I have a power head on each end of the tank. The one on the right end of the tank is at the surface and towards the back. It is aimed towards the front corner of the opposite end. The powerhead on the left side of the tank is near the bottom and is aimed across the back. This seems to send up a circular flow. Maybe change the direction of your Koralias so they both aren't aimed at the front?

I ended up removing one of the 850's, and putting the other one on the left side panel with it blowing across the front bow glass. It's creating a gyre effect in the tank, and the movement looks pretty good. I have the return blowing right into the rock formation, that is keeping any detrius from building up on/in it.
