I'm playing around with the lighting cycle in my frag tank. I've read in few sources that growth primarily occurs right after the lights come on then ceases until ligths go out. I've read about some different lighting cycles to optimize growth and I'm going to play with this for a little while and see what happens.
Ligths 20k Kessil, and a 10k Kessil
Schedule 8am 20k on 9am 10k on 11am 10 off 12pm 20k off
8pm 20k on 9pm 10k on 11pm 10k off 12am 20k off
Curious to see what will happen, one of the best parts for me is I can check in on my tank with the lights on right before I leave for work and later when I get home.

I've been doing the lighting cycle and dosing iodine at 25% of reccomendation on package. Some of my zoas that were struggling look much better particularly my red hornets. My Mary Janes and pink zippers continue to struggle. My Blue agaves and purple death palys have absolutely exploded. My Armor of gods have gotten bigger, my snowflake has also got noticeablely larger. I need to do a census and track this I'll probably get around to it and add some pics this weekend.
