Could possibly be. Any fish that could eat coral? Also crabs even emerald crabs?

The white strands that are coming out are the corals digestive organs. Was it close to any other corals? Usually this is something you will see when two corals are waring over space. Not sure about that crab but I wouldn't put it back in your tank either way.

My guess it was the crab, when I took the crab off of the lobo it ended up doing the same white stuff in the spot I removed him from. I could be wrong for sure. Either way it should be fine correct?
