after more thought, the only thing i haven't replaced is the DI filter... should that be a clue? frustrating because i've nearly paid as much for the filters replacements as the R/O unit itself

Are you sure that the membrane is seated all the way inside the housing. If its not fully seated then waste water can bypass the membrane and enter back into the pure water.

hey ryan, thanks for the reply. the membrane was seated at the back of the housing so that wasn't the issue, but today i was cleaning out my fish closet and realized that i have an extra DI filter. i swapped it out with the old one and am now getting 0 ppm water again. awesome! hard to lower nitrates when you're putting them into the water every week...
the new membrane also has my ro/di producing clean water about 3x faster than it use to, which is great except i didn't notice till i flooded my closet lol. it was previously doing about 20g per day, i assumed because of bad tap water quality or a pressure issue. now it's easily doing 60g+ per day

Great to hear you got the problem fixed. Hows everything else coming along? Were you able to get your skimmer yet?
