Right now the return is a one inch and the 2 drains are about 1 3/8 are these alright? Also I have a mag drive 18 and a 9.5 the 9.5 is in rough shape but the 18 is like new but I'm preety sure 1800 is an overkill correct? What should I be using?

I have a mag 12 on my 110, if you use the 18 you can put in a T with a valve to divert some flow back into your sump, ir to run other things like a fuge, or media reactors and skimmer

My approach would be to size out your return pump based upon the filtering capabilities of your sump. So you have an Atman 2000 on a SCA 302 skimmer rated on the top end at 634 GPH (which means adjusted it will probably be around 500 or even slightly lower). The Mag 18 is rated at 1800 GPH. So you are rushing water through the sump almost 3 times faster than it can be filtered. Certainly over sizing the return pump to allow for feeding media reactors is great use of the pump, but you don't need 1200 GPH more then a skimmer can handle for those duties. The success in filtering is contact time. I think you will find more times then not people run water through their sumps far faster then needed and would see better filtering if they slowed it down. If you need extra flow in the tank, that is what powerheads are for.
