I'm setting up a new tank, 54gal corner.
It came with a 10gal sump with a Rio 2500 return pump.

I'm debating getting a skimmer for this tank, and would like some recommendations on a good QUIET one.

QUIET being very very important, the tank is in my living room, and the one requirement of my wife is a silent tank.

The SCA-301 is $85 with free shipping right now, rated for 65 gal.........any feedback on it?

Any help would be great.

I'd just make sure you buy the sca-301 from the company that makes them. They are very helpful and quick to fix any problem you may have! From my experience.
On eBay there store name is (letsmakesomemoney) I believe? I can look it up if you need it.
