Hey folks have an interesting question for you all.
I recently installed a tank for a friend of mine in his place of business. He runs a 22/7 call center that I'm sure will become 24/7 soon enough. It is an in-wall and viewable from both sides. Problem is that the lights in both rooms spill into the tank for 20-22 hours a day and I don't know if it affects the fish or not. I run the lights on the tank about 11 hours but the other 11 the tank still receives that ambient room light. Anything I should be worried about? Will they still sleep? Will they get stressed and die eventually? I'm not really worried about algae growth because of the crazy skimmer and nutrient control systems I have in their but the light is really gonna bug me if it will affect them significantly.
Thanks!

+1 on fish don't care, they'll find a dark cave. Algae can grow if there's to much light without the excess nutrients though so that could be a problem especially if it has coral or is going to have? Could very easily be wrong though, just think I remember hearing that excess light can be a problem especially if it's sunlight or fluorescents?

My tank gets a bit of light from my fuge but everything still sleeps. It's no brighter then what natural moonlight would be, and white like the moon instead of blue.

The problem is that it is way more light than just natural moonlight. I'm talking you can even see into nooks and crannies into the tank. It's not just light spillage, it's a whole room lighting it up.

IMO I don't think the fish care too much, they will adjust
