I have a yellow finger leather that I need to trim up or cut up. But I'm not sure how to do it and not kill the coral.
I have a couple of people who want frags from it, so I just need to know how to cut it and get the pieces ready for them.
Also, is it possible to frag a long tentacle Toadstool?
Everything is growing like crazy in my tank, and since it's small I need to keep things under control before they fill the entire tank.

Any leather can be cut, in just about any fashion or size. I would then put a tooth pick through the piece then use rubber bands to hold the tooth pick to a piece of rock so it can attach, or place the piece in a dish with rock rubble and it'll attach itself. If you use rubber band and tooth pick, just remove the took pick after its attached to the rock.

Prett much what seamonkey84 said. I just did 2 frags from the crown of my snowflake toadstool, neither of the frags made it this time around (did two frags just fine in may) the coral your fragging from may close up for up to a week but should be fine don't be alarmed if it looks upset for a while after. The colony I fragged from is fine.

OK.
Since my tank is so small, I really don't have room to keep frags around.
So, when anyone wants some I'll take a razor blade and cut off a chunk of it.
Thanks,
Steve
