Went to petco yesterday and decided since they were so cheap would get a peppermint shrimp, even tho they always disappear and never eat my aptasia. Turned the light on this morning and all aptasia is gone!!! Woohooo!!! Now to get the rest of my tank contents transferred back in so he can clean up the rest. Hopefully the emerald will actually take care of the bit of bubble algae that recently showed up. So my tank has a bit of life now consisting of one scarlet hermit, one emerald, one peppermint,3 nasarious, and two margarita snails. Sent from my HTC ONE

Glad to hear they worked for you. I couldn't get the ones I bought to make a dent in my aptasia.

They have never eaten any before, I didn't expect anything different this time. Was very surprised.

Oh!! I shall eat him if I see any of that lol Sent from my HTC ONE Too funny. I use to have a few in my tanks at all times but with my Melanarus Wrasse, he doesn't allow them to be in the tank for more than 2 mins before he rips them apart.

Mine is huge in such a small tank lol Sent from my HTC ONE How big? I usually only see the really tiny guys. Maybe if I had some larger ones my wrasse wouldn't bother with them. I have a good sized cleaner and he doesn't even look at it.

I wonder if it's a tank bred one? You'd think they'd be smaller not bigger but I know liveaquaria sells tank breed one's that they say are specifically for eating aptasia? Idk if they actually do? But I know they sell them as such, maybe somehow you got one of these? I had a peppermint shrimp that was kinda paired with my cleaner shrimp and then I got a second cleaner shrimp and the next morning I woke up and the peppermint shrimp was dead? I think the cleaners paired off quick and killed the peppermint.or the new cleaner took it out to pair with my first cleaner? Who knows?
