Glad to see a forum for Maine reefers it's hard to get connected to other hobbyist. I'll be posting pictures soon, I had a glorious and beautiful tank but we had a wasp infestation over a year ago I poisoned the Wasps and they went kamakazi in my tank...I lost a lot of stuff, we had a baby and I put the hobby on a back burner and just let things that were still alive grow, 2 months ago my heater got stuck and nuked everything including a frogspawn with 25heads. So I'm starting fresh looking for some frags. I also have a nano cube that's 3 years old that one has been doing well so I've been using a lot of frags from the "mother colonies" in it. Hope more people chime in. Will post some pics of my tank soon.

This is my tank at it's peak. Then we had a wasp infestation. I found the hole in foundation they were using I poisoned them and closed the hole from the outside...never found the inside hole. So the wasps went kamakazie in the home office many of them diving into the tank....much was lost I had scrambled to take what I could into my newly setup nano, and lost a lot of coral. I did manage to keep the above frogspawn alive.....till the heater thermostat got stuck on...tank was 87 degrees, I unplugged the heater but the damage was already done the survivors: tailspot blenny, pistol shrimp (these things could survive a nuclear holocaust) and some softies Finally where it is today: I moved some corals back into it from the Nano, and added some more live rock I got from Ryan trying to make it look like a cliff

I was doing water changes every three days....they were in the tank, the sump all over the office...it was a nightmare, looking back I should've killed the lights and put a blanket over my tank and sump. I think I was still finding wasp parts for about a month or so. It really sucks when we try so hard to create a perfect habitat and do everything right and a rogue heater, or wasp invasion comes along. I know this was definately a unique event that was a total PITA
