Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! And hope you all have power back on. We lost our power monday night around 6pm and got it back tuesday at noon. Ran the generator all night, mostly for the fish tanks. My ray gave birth to 5 pups a few weeks ago. Many thanks to Ryan for moving them to their own tank! She gave birth the day we had left for a vacation... My tomato clowns also spawned after we returned. Someone in the tank ate eggs soon after. I suspect it may have been the female tomato. Anyone else had their clowns eat there own eggs? Everytime I walked past the tank the day they spawned, there would be fewer and fewer eggs. Here are some pics:

Glad to see the ray pups are all doing well. Clowns will eat any eggs that are either not viable or eggs that die. They do this to help protect any surviving eggs from infection and to regain nutrients lost from spawning.

Thanks. This was the first time I had seen clownfish eggs up close. Rays are eating well now.

Thnaks for the offer! Unfortunately, I don't have the time or room to raise clowns. Rays take up a lot of my time:)

My big female (the one that gave birth) is about 10.5 - 11" diameter. I have a smaller male (7.5") and a second female (6"). This species is one of the smaller ones. Most of the other species get much bigger. If given the right environment, plan on something the size of a trash can lid:)

Tank is 6' x 3' x 21" high. Somewhere around 200 gals. My rays are called hystrix in the pet trade.
