I recently got an led light off of ebay that is very blue and brings out good color in some of my corals which is nice but others and me anemone is not opening up as much as it used to. I have been looking at the beamswork 9w led to see if that would have a more even output and help my coral growth. I have an evolve 4. If you have a beams work led or have other ideas let me know.

They still need enough white light to grow and be happy, also LED are more powerful than they look depending on the type is LED it could also be to much light and they are closing to get away from it

+1, you have to acclimate everything to LEDs, start low and turn them up gradually. Depending on what you got, my bet is too much light. I've had mine for over a year now and I never put them on past 50%, that's how bright they can be.

if they dont have dimmers you would have to replace the drivers

That's how I run it, be perfect for zoos. I have some lps as well..gives good color is sleek and cheap. Each of the white strips has 2 whites and one blue, 3 leds per strip, 3watts per strip and it's made fit 3 but could cram 5 with another power supply. Sent from my HTC ONE Attachments:

I looked at those on eBay to but for a 5gln tank I think 27w may be to much.
