Not for everyone, but I like gadgets. Basically a power strip with 2 outlets you control from anywhere with a smart phone. Easy to program, perfect for lights. I paid $50 at Home Depot for it.

That has all kinds of applications. In Europe they use similar technology on their wood pellet stoves. Keep your stove turned down when you're not home to conserve fuel. Then turn it up remotely about a half-hour before you get home, and your house is warm when you get there.

It looks really cool and was a great idea. I'm just not sure I'd ever use it because the main reason most people want to be able to control there lights via Wi/fi is in case there tanks temperature shoots up to high? Then they can remotely shut them off. Now if you have a controller to tell you this info(when your not home) then it's probably already controlling your lights, if not then this (tank toy) is mainly for turning your lights on and off if you forget or have to leave before it's time to turn them on.but you could do that with regular cheap timers. Awesome gadget find though
