I traded awhile back for a 3 headed Acan frag. The wife always loved them so I got one. Every since I got out though it hasn't don't very good I'm my tank? Slowly they've receded more and more? I have a mixture of different corals from mushrooms to several different kinds of sps that all do good in my tank. All my parameters are good so Idk why there not doing good? There in a shaded lore flow area and have done a little better since I moved it but still not coming back or looking the best it should

Feeding at all? Acans can vary with light and flow, my goblins loved high light and medium flow. My Orange crush liked high light but higher flow. Also they are pretty sensitive to anything else touching it.

Look for fish picking at them.

Although most like low light, it just may not be happy where it is…move it for a week or 2 and see if it improves.

My best guess is It could be getting nipped by fish but it's also possible that it's being stung by or irritated by other corals releasing sweeper tentacles or toxins into the water. Are you using activated carbon? What are your water parameters? LPS don't always like perfect water parameters and can actually benefit from a little nitrate and phosphate in the water.

Yeah it's definitely not getting nipped by any fish. The person I got it from had it low in the tank and lower flow and it was doing good then. I also tried it in a few different spots so far not much luck? I know I do keep my tank a little colder then most people, between 70° and 72° but Idk how that could do this? My water parameters are all doing good. Even though I've thought about getting my water sent out to be accurately and fully tested.

I've found with colder water some things don't like to open fully. It may be the issue.

Maybe I'll try to bring the temp up to 74° Idk if this would make a difference? Idk if I want to go much higher then that?

I keep my tank temp at 77. that way if I do see a sign of ich or a parasite I can bump the temp up a little without any problems
