Anyone who has bought the LED lights thru the group buy with Rob, how are things going with them? Any issues or problems with them at all? How are the corals doing under them? Would you buy them again or recommend them?
Also........what are the dimensions of the housing?
Thanks for any feedback.

Dimensions L 16" W 8 1/2" thickness 2 1/4" I really do like these lights and my tank and inhabitants seem to as well. And I will say that for the money Idk if they can be beat plus the money you save from electricity. There is a few design flaws at least in my eyes especially for long term use. For example the 3 fans on the top don't have much of a cover I'd have preferred some kind of a mesh or screen material to try and keep more dust and other particles in the air out of the unit.just my opinion as you can see mine have quite a bit of Dust in them, And I've cleaned them. But if this is a problem it's minor because it's a very simple fix if you want to. Next up is the purple "Uv" lights There's only 2 per light but they are very dim and I don't think they even make it to the tank. You can see the reds or greens sometimes on solid surfaces like rock work but not purple. Now these are said to be Uv lights but from the research I've done there's no led that produces true Uv light as of now. So the reason for these being so dim is beyond me? But like I said before this isn't that big a deal 2 out of 55 lights being dim really isn't that big a deal considering the price point. I'm also have another problem but won't elaborate more until I can get further details and find out exactly what's going on? Now I'm not trying to pick these apart just giving info I think is important to know before purchase. Now as the lights are now I would recommend them, 1 of the 2 things I personally don't like are easy fixes and they do come with a USA warranty so any major issue can be resolved. Are they just as good as razors or other top names that they are competing against? No I'm sure they're not. But are the things that are different with these light worth $700 - $1000 per fixture more to buy the others? Imo No. Attachments:

Solid review. Budget lights are going to have compromises in certain areas, but at the price point it's easier to live with them.

Regarding the dust issue, my very expensive razors are very prone to dust build up in the fan. The fans don't run too often, as they have good heat sinks however, but they have little protection from dust.
I bought a set of those "cheap LEDs" for my future frag tank, I have seen them at Rob's tank and Tucker's tank, I think they look great, especially for the price.

Yeah I install them over all my tanks. Ridiculously good. I burned corals the first time I put them under it. The true test will be the 220 that is 30 inches deep and seeing how much par is down there. Anyone have a par meter by chance I could borrow?

Note about the uv leds, they aren't supose to be bright to our eyes , as we don't see uv. It's more to fill in a gap in the spectrum that LEDs seem to be lacking for keeping proper growth/color, not for us to see the floresence as that much would prob burn the corals (and us)
