So I can't ever seem to maintain the correct ph and I'm thinking the kalkwasser dosing could be the answer? Anybody got a general DIY for a dripper/doser?

Good choice. I love kalk. Anyway I just got a 1 gallon Tupperware juice thing drilled a hole in the bottom. Using air tube I connected it to one of those air controllers. Not sure what they are called. They have 3 screws on the top. Anyway I added a short piece to that to control the dripping. Ill post a picture of it when I get home.

bio-calcium you sprinkle right on top of water and it dissolves kalk you mix with water let it settle then use the clear water.

I use a pH buffer by Kent during my weekly water changes, that seems to help. Some people swear by Kalk, do a search in some of the bigger forums and you'll see that if you get the dosing wrong or it malfunctions you could crash your tank.

That's the second time I've read that article and I still feel like I don't know everything I should about lime water? Lol the way they describe it makes me want to try and start dosing lime water and vinegar at the same time though I know that! Sounds easier and safer then vodka dosing...... Now if I do start dosing this as recommended in the article, as water evaporates from my tank the lime water/vinegar is being dripped into my tank and if I get it right should make up for evaporated water? Right? So does that mean I wouldn't need a Ato?? Or should there be one in place no matter what just in case?
