some will never host anything..... I had a pair that hosted the top corner of the tank. maybe try to scare them into it? keep pushing the clowns into it and maybe they will realize the nem is protection My baby clowns hosted the top corner for a long time. Then when my nem split I moved it to the side the clowns were. Still they wouldn't host it. So I tried feeding them nem so the clowns would go take food from them. Not so much. One day I was bored, and since I had these guys since they were little babies they would literally let me scoop them out by hand. I tried just guiding them slowly into them nem. Tada, they got their first couple feels of the nem and after a few days were constantly in it. Sent from my HTC6500LVW using proboards

Mine have always lived in Xenia before they moved to the bta, or had another clown that was already hosting show them how it's done.

Currently mine swim together back and fourth the whole length of the tank all day long.

All the above is good advise.
You can setup a good tank environment and try different things but the bottom line is they animal and they will do want they want to do. The only thing you can do once you tried all those things is have patience.
