Hey guys, Help me out here, fellas. I'm a noob. I saw this little sucker in my tank about a week ago and he was much smaller. I thought it might be a string or something and not a worm. Today, during the day, I came across him again. Is this a fire worm or a bristle worm or something totally different?

Could just be a bristle worm but from what I understand the bristle worms stay small and fire worms get big and from ones I've seen fire worms have like a iridescent color in the middle of the worm. Bristle worm to me is perfectly safe, fire worm isn't they get big and CAN eat corals. If it's tiny your probably safe

Great. Thanks guys. Yeah, I look at pictures online and it certainly looks like a bristle. I was worried it would get big and eat my corals but I'll just keep an eye on it.

I'm pretty sure there's a difference in species between a bristle worm and a fire worm?

With the huge mouth!!! When in doubt take it out! That's what I do anyways. If it looks to big to be happy with scraps from the bottom of the tank then I take it out

Remember the cute little worm? There is at least two of them now and they are much larger. I made a homemade trap today and caught one. Wanted to share.
