I just added my new LEDs a few days ago and am trying to figure out how to tell if the lights are too bright or not bright enough. There hanging 10 1/2 inches off the surface of the water. My SPS is sitting close to the surface because of the PCs I was running before, should I move them lower now?

Here is a 10 minute video worth watching. Although probably not the same LED's being tested, it is the results that are most interesting. What he suggests for maximum intensities for LED's might surprise you.

Always got 10 or 15 mins to watch some Mr.saltwater tank Tv. Anyone want to try to get a group of people together to go in on the purchase of a par meter? I know there expensive but it would be nice to have one within the forum that we could all pass around and use when we need it? could even ship it to people that live a little further away?

There's a guy on Planted Tank that sells DIY PAR meters for $50.
