Even though this is kinda irrelevant because i'm going to be switching to led's I was wondering if anyone else has been using ATI t5 bulbs? I don't know a ton about light spectrum and things of that nature but I purchased 3 ATI bulbs in the past few weeks and have gotten some great coloration out of my corals especially the bi-colored frog spawn I got from ryan. it used to just have a brownish colored stalks and know there starting to get green swirls all through the stalks and the bi-colored tips are swirling and striping pink and green on the same tips. if this is what i'm getting out of 4 t5 bulbs then I can't wait to get my led's and see what kind of coloration I get out of those. but either way I was just wondering if anyone else had used these bulbs and gotten any similar results? I'm using 1 coral plus ATI 48" 1 blue plus ATI 48" and 1 actinic ATI 48" with a normal 10'000k bulb 48"   |

Nice I really liked that article very informative and made something that can be difficult for most people to grasp,Including myself. I have pretty close to the recommendations in the article. If I wasn't switching i would probably switch out my 10,000k I currently have for a GE 6,500k

I've been running ATI bulbs for two years, and a absolutely love them. I too am planing on switching to LEDs, but for T5s, you can beat ATI for color and growth for IMO. I use 4 bulb fixture, 2 blue plus, one aquablue special, and one purple plus. I've been having Greg at cultivated reef order my bulbs for me.
To be honest I plan on rigging two ATI bulbs to run along side my led pendents when the time comes.

that's funny I just told my wife last night I'm probably gonna keep 2 ati Bulbs going if I can. if it's not to much light. would be an awesome coloration I think but I'm not sure still because half the reason I'm switching is to save on the power out put and that probably wouldn't help! Lol my power would probably be the same if I went from a 4 bulb t5 to led's and 2 t5's? I think it would look awesome but I'm just gonna switch over I think
