What kind of hermit is this? I've never bought one of these and I never knew it was in my tank toll this morning!

I don't like any crabs in my tank. I've gotten coral in and even emeralds have killed them. Yes they tend to go after dying or recently cut flesh but when they do that they can turn healthy into non easily.

the only crab I ever had that did any damage was an emerald crap, it liked to snack sps polyps. not having a hermit in my tank would be like saying no shrimp, and shrimp are nasty to coral they will even pick the food out from the inside of the coral damaging its mouth then pick at the parts it damaged imo- hermits are great a pic of a left handed I used to have, this is what I am guessing you have this pic shows how big its left claw was

My emerald have fortunately never bothered anything. I did however move the peppermint to the zoa tank because kept stealing food from the lps. I only keep scarlets, but never had issues with zebra either. Blue legs suck, tho the electric blue are better I think.
I ate all the purple fish, they are rare now lol

That's him!! Exactly the same crab.I'm telling you though I never bought one ever! Lol I watch everytime they pack up my crabs when I buy them so I don't see how he got in the tank?? Lol no new live rock or anything like that?
I'm trying to see if I can eat the red ones onto the endangered species list as well! Lol next up multi colored Swedish fish!
