I figured I'd share some of my SCUBA photos, one set is from my second trip to Jamaica (been there twice since), and the other set is some pictures in Maine waters. I figured a bunch of you may find it interesting. Sea Turtles, sharks, loads of corals & fish. www.flickr.com/photos/scubadro/sets/ |

Nice pics. I've always wondered what diving in Maine would be like...other than f'n cold.  BTW - you shoot those Lionfish? Do they allow that in Jamaica? |

I've never killed a lionfish, but I have seen the local divers spear them at times...it is definitely encouraged. There is also a slowly growing demand for lionfish as a food source, supposedly they are delicious! I have noticed the population growing dramatically each time we go there.

On a Roatan I've speared them and eaten them. Decent fish...typical mild whitefish. Good for frying.

Thank you so much for sharing these pictures!! all of them were amazing and I to think i would of had a very hard time not trying to take some things back up to the surface with me for my tank!!!! but I think the best part of all the pictures In my opinion was the maine ones!!! I had no idea we had all that stuff in the ocean waters in maine!!!! I'm almost positive I saw a non-photosynthetic anenome in the pictures? thats awesome! sponges,urchins,hermit crabs,an awesome ugly fish and of course lobsters!!!! I could go on and on but i think I already have!!! lol love it thank you for the education and for making my day I almost felt like i just went scuba diving!
