I've had 3 Acans slowly die on me the skeleton became exposed after starting out strong with good growth. I tried all the dips and even interceptor...nothing saved them, my params were fine and all my other corals have grown and done well. Someone mentioned to me that they need full spectrum lighting and are negatively effected by LED's, 2 were doing fine until about 2 months after I switched lights then it started. What are the experiences and lighting used by others on here that keep Acan's and Chalices successfully?

mine have been fine for the past 2+ years I have had led. the ones I built used royal blue and 12k led I lost some colors on a couple but they did great. now with my full spectrum led fixtures I had to move them out of the light but still doing great along with my chalices

Mine have done great to, tho I don't have leds. I think they are more happy in slightly dirty water to. The more I neglect my tank the happier they seem lol

mine have triple their size since I got them 4 months ago. They don't like a lot of light and since I have 2 par38s over my 20 high I have them on the bottom. Mine like low-medium flow and I feed them frozen mysis once a week. Maybe you're are too high in the tank? also +1 on them liking dirty water because I only do one 25% change a month.
