Trying to upgrade finally to LED from PC's and have about $400 to spend. I was wondering if the maxspect razor 20.5" fixture would work for my 55 gallon? Also was looking into the reef breeders which fixture from them would work?

They have different sizes at reef breeders and there's are really nice. For a 55 gallon, I imagine its the longer skinny one. You will want something that goes the length of it. If you not into all the bells and whistles I would get 2 of the value led setups. For 179 each.

Get two of the $179 (shipped) Value Fixtures from ReefBreeders... This is what we have over our 75 gallon display and we can grow anything!

I have two of those razors, one would definitely not work. The longer one probably would, but the center brace would be right under the middle LEDs.

Thanks I'm definitely gonna order 2 value fixtures, they look really nice for the money. My only question is what degree optics should I get?

Honestly don't get them look in the sale and deal section of the forum, there is a link to a led fixture there that is the same exact thing as the reef breeders value with out the sticker and it's only around 110 shipped, I think rob(aka gotareef) is going to be placing another order soon, and 2 at 90 degree optics would work well

Wow what a life saver those look to be! I've been wanting to upgrade to led for awhile but I don't have $1000 like most companies want. I'm really excited to see how these turn out.

I've seen them on gotareefs tank and really like them. He had diy leds before that looked nice to buy these are far better and very strong. I'm excited to get one myself!!
