So a coule months ago I had this black "algae" growing on the base of my toadstool... it started to creep up sop I got proactive and took the toadstool out and scrubbed the base of it with a toothbrush and removed the black mat that was encroaching. I noticed last night its back and is growing on another rock... This stuff peels off... What is it? Picture coming tonite

the cyano that I was getting was black to! these guys know better then me so probably a sponge but just figured i'd tell you that i had something very simular maybe a picture would help some of these guys give you a more accuate opion? the black stuff i had peeled off and was on a little of my rocks and sand mostly gone now with lots of care and phosphate sponge!!!! I got to get a phosphate reactor asap so i can run GFO cause changing phosphate sponge every 36 hours at 17.99$ a jar gets pricey!!!
