2 would be great on a 75 so should be fine on the 72 He is right the 2 on my 75 gallon tank work perfect. I am designing my "hanging" kit this weekend, because I cannot hang them from the ceiling, I plan on using electrical conduit and making it look fancy and such, will let you know how it turns out. You cannot go wrong for the amount of money these are, and you don't have to supplement with actinics. 2 D120 leds run at 50% power (which is all you may need) will cost you a fourth of the electricity every year, and you will never have to replace bulbs. Cost savings definitely outweigh the bulkiness and heat that MH imposes on your tank.

I did something similar. I used a shelf on my 40b but turned the shelf length wise to get it out from the wall. Easily hung an AI Sol. Wish I had a pic but recently moved and set up a bigger tank. Waiting to get more lights before I make another rig off the wall
