So I went up to Lisbon today. A guy was breaking down his 72 bf and needed a home for his fish... I ended up getting a Koran angel, a coral beauty, a yellow tang, a dottyback, and a yellow tail damsel. Right now I have the Koran in jess's fishless tank with the damsel so the angel had more space then in my tank and I put the tang and coral beauty in my tank. They're so pretty!! Oh, and ps, def got my first sting and it was a bristle worm.. I knew I hated them LOL

If you get stung by bristle worms again, soak the affected part of your hand in white vinegar and it will dissolve the spines and neutralize the toxins. Word of advice if you don't know, the Koran angels are known for being non reef safe because they pick at and eat many types of corals.

It was kept in a reef tank and he said it never bothered anything. He also said he wasn't sure if it was a Koran, a blue ring or a blue face(?) can you tell from the pic?

And ty with the bristle worm advice!! It wouldn't have done much yesterday because the guy was moving and pretty much all that was left was the tank, so I didn't have anything. I'm def gonna keep some vinegar on hand now!!!

It's definitely a Koran angel. It's entirely possible that it won't bother corals but I haven't heard of any that don't in the last 7 years I've been in the hobby. Either way it looks like a good deal that you got.

from what ive seen they will eat lps and clams but sps and softies are usually fine

Yeah I have a Koran angle and it hasn't touched anything in my tank and he's not tank bred so I thought he was going to and a Niger that allot of people said the same thing and he doesn't either  can't believe you got all that stuff for free that's awesome I wish I could hit the reef tank lottery!! anyone want to give me a 100 lbs of live rock? lol jk kinda |

I heard the coral beauties ate worse at nipping then the korans? Idk just what I've heard
