This past weekend my family and I went to West Virginia for a family reunion. I stopped in the PetCo in Morgantown, WV. What a difference to be in another state! Nothing against PetCo here, but the freshwater selection there was impressive. Too bad this state has such a short list of permitted aquatic animals... This store had a few planted tanks with various FW shrimps (Amano, wood, yellow bee), various freshwater snails, some cichlids and other fish species you can't buy here, turtles, aquatic frogs, and few other things that I can't think of right now. Walking up and down the isles I was thinking how could I get some stuff home with me. Marine section wasn't too shabby either. The usual assortment of fish, a dedicated frag tank, and a nice display tank. THey also had a nice looking rbta for $89.
It really bugs me that you can't get cool stuff here in Maine, especially freshwater stock.
