My test came out perfect but my dragon eyes and other zooas look like crap. I can't figure it out.

Well I did 2 water changes this week and its suppose to have a good amount in the salt. Maybe the carbon is taking away to much. Ill add trace elements.

Short answer, yes a tank can be too clean. Some corals like measurable phosphates. However, my guess for your problem is chemical warfare with the green star polyps nest door, if that is what they are.

I 2nd Magnesium or warfare...usually my gsp don't bother anything unless touching it...what salt are you using? My last batch of IO was only testing at 1200 mg, I'm dosing my mix buckets up to 1350 I've seen noticable zoa growth since.

this is the reason most mixed reefs dont work! most sps with the exception of montipora like pristine water, where as lps and softies like a little nitrate and phosphate.
so if your sps is happy and growing the softies and lps wont be if the lps and softies are happy the sps wont be
then there is your clam, larg clams will totally clean the water also if you dont keep up on mag,calcium,stronium,iodine... it will strip the water before you know it.
I would honestly give them some iodine, maybe a dip?

I use a salifert kit for mg, I often need to dose a 2 part of ca and alk throughout the week but I have a lot of stonies. I find zoas are sad if ALK is low.
