I had someone come over tonight from the NH frag swap and he helped me kill the aptasia with kalk paste. I'm HOPING the little ones aren't babies but he said that he thought they were feather dusters. We did end up finding 2 more aptasias though on the other side of the tank which makes me weary that they could all have them on them and i just cant see them being on the back side of the rock. All the rock came from the same place, so I dont know if all the rock will have it or not...im hoping NOT! lol

I have about 10 big ones on the rock my rbta is in, I've wanted him to move so I could get rid of the rock but the nem won't budge. But since I've gotten rid of the rest of the aptasia I have not noticed them spreading. I do not mess with the ones still present in my tank for fear they will multiply. I plan to let that rock sit in salt tho when I do the tank change over. I find this to be the cheapest and easiest method, the straight salt burns them, then I thoroughly rinse with a baster to remove any traces of tissue before placing into my tank. I have yet to notice regrowth this way. I tried injecting them with hypo, tried lemon juice, even soaked food in lemon juice and fed it to the suckers, didn't work. That aptasia remover doesn't work either and I've heard as many people say the x doesn't work as days it does work. The salt method works for me.

Sorry about the Aptasia! I have done two things in the past. First I picked up this awesome Copperband Butterflyfish, Second and most recently with my tank's bioload being where it is I have injected these guys with a syringe full of hot water. Good luck!

Sooo, I bought two peppermint shrimp and so far they seem to be doing their jobs! I had about 4-5 on a head of hammer I got, 2 on diff areas of my rock and one on the stock of my newest frogspawn. I left these all to kind of experiment and its totally worked. Def glad I bought them
