Yesterday I blasted off our rocks and got some of the sand in one corner......and it uncovered 3 things that appeared soft, 2 were round about the size of a dime and a nickle, the other one was about 1 1/2 " and semi-circular shaped and all of them were covered completely in our fine sand. This morning they aren't there and a small mushroom coral is gone, we have lost other mushrooms in here as well. Do you know what this could be?
other information: Some of this sand came from a 10 gal. that we upgraded into our 45 gal. - a 2" emerald crab went missing, shell and all in that tank....not sure if that's related or not.

Chuck Norris did it..he can do anything!
On a serious note Aptasia anemones would meet that description, sting corals to death and love to retact into little nooks and crannies where they place there foot. I'd keep an eye open chances are they will return where you saw them if they were aptasia.

It doesn't look like any Aptasia nems that I've seen before.
