Ive never actually boiled rock before. I'll see if I can find some info on the subject though. I usually just let my rocks dry out or manually remove the problem if its a rock that I want to keep I my tank.

They weren't aware of the zoanthids that were on the rocks, which basically created toxic gas.

I've boiled live rock once... We placed it in a stainless steal pot and put it on a Coleman camp stove outside in the driveway. It worked well for us and kept the nasty steam it made outside of the house!

Thats CRAZY! Who would have thought that boiling a rock can almost kill you! I wont be boiling my rock any time soon lol
