Lots of info here! I need to test my water to see what it's looking like. The tank has been set up for a little over a year. It was fowlr for most of the time with a single NO flo bulb. I changed the lights and skimmer back in december and have since has a massive diatom bloom. Never had a problem before changing the lighting, and the fish stock is now less than what is was before. I'm thinking a water filter can only help. I have been using a API tap water filter (basically a DI) for the past couple of water changes, things are slightly better.
