I just went to pet pro and Alex had a set of lights that only the actinic work. He let me take them to try out. The only problem is that it's a box light and I don't know if I can fit them in with the other lights. He wants $60 for them but I can probably talk him down. The cheaper I can take care of this, the more I have to spend on corals and fish.  lol he wants to charge you for broken lights? |

Depending on the LED maker and how many of the led's are still good Ied pay for half broke lights to I payed from $1.75 to $3 per led on star for mine

If it's the driver though I'd probably only pay $20-$25 a light. Witch if one set of leds is out then it's probably the driver. |

Well he's got a set of whites and a set of blues if anyone likes to tinker. Me personally I'd rather get them out of a box with all the styrofoam wrap and that little piece of paper that says "lifetime limited warranty." Too bad it didn't really say lifetime though.

Ya I wouldn't pay $60 either just kinda starting that even broke stuffs worth something yup and in his position building a solid customer base by giving off those old lights or selling them for 10-20$ instead of trying to rip some one for 60 on em would have been the way to go. |

Ya. No offense to anyone (and you know who I'm talking about. Some are good friends. That's why I say this.) but I've been a faithful customer of his for a long time because of more variety and the fact that the other place in town's tanks are always sick and look like sh**. But lately, not very impressed. He tried to charge me $8 for a yellowtail damsel the other day. Told him I wouldn't pay that much seeing how I've GIVEN him fish that I know he's sold for more. Ended up paying $5 (I'm a sucker for yellowtail and azure damsels). Plus a few days before I went and bought 3 zoa frags and a skunk cleaner. Full price. Guess I'm not as much of a valued customer as I thought I was. He just has a better variety and that's what keeps bringing me back.

Lights are in and on. Very nice. Working on tweaking knobs and have to figure out a way to bring it up off the top of the tank. Going down in basement to look around for something to use as legs. If anyone has any suggestions... |

Sharron is kind of the same way I think that's just how the operate I'm just super honest when I go in if I can get it for half off online ill tell them and they adjust the price or I just drop the subject and move on |
