What's your best way you clean your filter socks?

I soak in a bleach solution for a couple days then wash them inside out about 3-4 times in the washer with no soap

I have about 14 of them that I save up until I have about 12 dirty. Then I put them in the washer and do a normal load with bleach. When that is done, I do another load with nothing at all. When that is done they go in the drier on air dry/fluff mode.
That's it..........simple and easy.

I've never used bleach. I wash them once and they come out nice and white. Just once in the washing machine.

I'm thinking about setting up some socks for my ray tank. What do you use for sock holders? I'm looking at various pre-made sock holders that clamp onto the side the sump.

Yeah, I'm thinking about going with the larger size. It won't take long for them to clog.

bleaching filter socks doesnt really clean them, it just makes the dirt hard to see and since bleach is corrosive wears out your filter socks faster. when I used filter socks I just hand washed them or threw them in the washing machine with no soap on super duty wash then did an RO water soak for 24 hours. they don't have to be sparkling white to work just fine as long as you get the majority of the crud out you're good. but I stopped using them years ago.

I think I have a new 4" holder that uses nylon screws to bolt on a sump. I ordered a frag rack and they sent me this instead.
